I thought I'd be watching alone again but in shocking news my teenager has said she'll be watching with me. I'm certainnn it has nothing to do with her asking if her football-loving boyfriend can come over too 😅 A win is a win though and the more the merrier!

I think I could watch paint dry and get more enjoyment. Football to me is dead boring, never been interested in it.
The only really type of sport I like really is F1 or Rally or watching the odd Olympics/commonwealth games.

@Anhedonia2 Hello, hope you’re okay today? :) I’m looking forward to the games tonight too. I think England will win although I’d prefer Congo to win. I am from England and I try to support them at a start of the tournament like against Croatia but the way they played against Ghana I found really disappointing and then I hoped Panama would beat them the other night. England make running forwards in football look really difficult and it really isn’t
I’m also looking forward to the Senegal game :)

Ex player too 🙌 What I see over a number of tournaments is England make running forwards in football look really difficult and it really isn’t. Japan run forwards, Cape Verde run forwards, Haiti run forwards and at least two of these a majority of football fans would say England are a better side on paper. So for me there’s no good enough reason why England make running forwards in football look so difficult 🙏🏼
We have midfielders on an enormous amount of wages going for high transfer fees who pass sideways and backwards. It is very odd to see. I’m supporting Congo this evening :)

Aw, is there no element of it you like? I'll be honest I've never really understood F1 or Rally, I love nice cars and looking at them aesthetically but can't watch them race.

I guess its more of a "it can't hold my attention long enough" waiting for something to happen all the time. I need action all the time to keep my attention going or I'm bored. Unless there was a way were we could guarantee a goal every 5 mins I'm unlikely to ever like the sport or similar sports which to me seem "underwhelming".

@Anhedonia2 Hello :) I’m okay thanks, quite enjoying Congo winning. England look so poor, Rice and Madueke are both so overrated. I can see why both play for Arsenal with their sideways passing and total lack of initiative
It’s nice to see Congo doing well, who are really trying hard and they break forwards with enthusiasm and intent. Senegal later should be fun too :)
