PIP Review

Hello

My award started on 21 January 2022 and ends on 11 May 2027. My assessment paper said review after 4 years but I have not received anything yet. I thought the review was meant to start one year before my award end date. Could any one please let me know if my review has been scheduled and if there is anything I need to do

    Hi @a_78123, welcome to the community. Sometimes they take a bit longer than they should to come through, but hopefully you'll get your forms over the next few months.

    If you're worried about it, you could give the enquiries line a ring and see if they have any updates for you. But otherwise, you're safe just to wait a bit longer and see if they arrive.

    Your current award should stay as it is until they're able to make a new decision, so you shouldn't have any gaps in payments ☺️

    How are you feeling about the upcoming review? Are you just hoping to get it done sooner rather than later?

    I like yourself was told last year that I would be assessed in 2027. But then yesterday I received a letter from the DWP saying that they are extending my PIP to 2030 out of the blue, in the letter they said that if nothing changes before then they may do the same again and extend it.

    My first assessment was paper based so I am not sure what to expect this time I am feeling very anxious about the upcoming review and would rather get it done sooner rather than later so I know where I stand

    I haven’t received anything from the DWP about an extension. Did you receive a text message before the letter arrived or did the letter just come out of the blue?

    I am due to receive my award until January 2027 so I expected a review a year before like you. I received a text at the beginning of the week to say the review of my award has just started so it's around six months in my case before my current entitlement ends. Hope this helps.
