Hi @Johnboy412000, if you visit your profile page, there is a section for notifications under your settings. I'll put the link here:
On that page, you should see two columns of check boxes with descriptions next to them. The check box on the right is for email notifications, so make sure that one is checked for anything you'd like to get emails about.
Just let us know if you have any trouble with it ☺️

Mine have disappeared for months despite ticking yes to receive them
I don't get anything anymore

I end up going in to my emails and clicking on the link to come to this forum. I wonder if there's a way to save the link to the task bar. I'll look in to that.

I've ticked all of them and I still don't get email alerts.

Hi @Johnboy412000 I've just had a little look at your profile, and you've selected notifications but at the bottom there's a general option and only the bell is ticked, not the email. I can do it for you if you like? Just didn't want to go ahead without checking first ☺️

Sorry @Johnboy412000, I can see you have selected email next to some notifications. Are you not getting any?
Silly question, but have you checked spam? Same for you @Amberpearl

No I get not Emails whatsoever from Scope postings. God knows why cos I get bombarded with them from National Autism Community.

Yeah I have checked Spam and it's empty.

Oh right ok then I'll take a look at that. Watch this space.

I think I got a bit confused earlier with my first advice, so my apologies. You've done the right thing there @Johnboy412000 as you've got a few ticked to email. I'll raise it with the brains behind the operation here and see if we can work out what's going wrong… (you might regret that when they start pouring through). @Amberpearl I'll do the same for you too.
Hopefully we'll be able to get it sorted asap for you - sorry about that!

Ok thanks If I get too many I'll have to adjust something lol

It's possible that the Scope email domain is in the email operator's local spam database or something like that.

Hi folks
Please may I ask if we're any further along with restoring email notifications
An indication of an underlying problem is e.g. if try to activate email notifications categories (e.g. "Benefits and income" when we've not previously enabled notifications) by selecting the "Following" button then enabling options in the email column, the website returns the error: "Permission Problem You need the Garden.Email.View permission to do that"
Thanks for your help

i.e. this may be a decision made by your forum operators (I think may you may use the Vanilla platform?) to disable notification emails, like I think they may have disabled RSS feeds last year, which was another useful (and accessible in many cases, e.g. some RSS readers specifically designed for accessibility) way to keep in touch with forum posts, without having to remember to visit the website

There's only one column of check boxes all the way down the page and they are all ticked.

Hi @lighthouse01, I don't have an update for you today, but I'll ask whether we've had any progress on this. As you say, it may be an issue with our platform, but we'll do our best to look into things and get back to you.
Thanks @Johnboy412000, I'll pass this on.
Sorry for the inconvenience of it all!
