hi all hope everyone is well ๐Ÿ˜ so my pip was due to end nov 25 had extension cus of backlogs to Nov 26 but Iโ€™m seeing loads of people have their award extended without review now for anything from 2 to 10 years cus of new rules. I am just wondering if mine isnโ€™t done via this new system will it just be a case of still waiting till November 26 to see what happens? Is anyone in the same situation? Thanks everyone sending lots of love to you all

Hi @carlys7 I'm seeing a bit of a mix but would have expected you'd have the review forms by now. Hopefully other members will have a better idea from their experience ๐Ÿ˜Š

What gets me, is that the fact there's such a massive backlog is the DWP's fault in the ruddy first place.

That and the increasing number of new claimants.

What metrics have they used for these extensions? Some have got 4 years extensions while others just one. My wife got a 1 year extention even though she has chronic condition and gets enchanced for both rates. Really baffled with these extentions...

Hi, I have just been through PIP review recently. Mine was due to expire Dec 2026 and I got review forms in April 2026. I was struggling to complete and return in the two week timeframe so I requested an extension and they gave me two weeks and I was still struggling to complete in time as I was gathering as much supportive evidence as I could alongside the demoralising experience of having to fill in the forms and using extra sheet of paper for every question. They gave me another month extension and I thankfully completed and returned in that month so returned in June 2026. Within two weeks I had a decision and they thankfully approved my review and Iโ€™m very relieved

I think if your finishing date is November you should have had your review forms by now unless they are coming in July. But you have had no text message to say the forms have been posted?

hi guys thanks for replies. I have sent my review forms back as it was due November 25 I send them back in May 25! The extension to Nov 26 was cus of the backlog and Iโ€™ve had texts every 3 months stating they are still processing the review. I just wondered if anyone had had one of these new extensions while under review if this makes sense? Thanks all

I havnt heard of anyone , including myself who has received this letter whos review has started , if this is the case (we dont know yet) i would say its slightly unfair to put some through the meat grinder while others get a few years relief, its a sort of discrimination would you not say ?
