hi year ago we have come to understanding that our son has autism and about almost two months ago we applied dla,is any possible way that we can ask the dla team to speedy up the dla application form process? We are really struggling with special needs child financial

    Hi @kursi1a, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you've been struggling financially. Caring for a disabled child can be extra expensive and it's not easy to keep up with all the cost. Is there anything in particular that you're struggling to afford at the moment?

    I don't think there's much you can do to speed up the DLA process, unfortunately. But you could give them a ring and ask for an update on your case. Hopefully they'll be able to let you know how much longer it might be.
