PIP Renewal

Hello,
My 3 year PIP award runs out in February 2027. I will be reapplying again for the award.
I’m yet to receive a letter about renewing my award. Is this typical? I’d read somewhere that people can receive a letter 6-12 months out.
I recognise there’s a huge backlog of PIP applications at the moment. What does this mean/ what can I expect for my own case with wait times etc?
Thank you :)

Hi
You may still receive a letter to re-apply but there are huge backlogs and thats causing delays for them to process claims.
Some existing claimants have received letters extending their awards, without having an assessment.
