School Assembly

Hello all,

I am a primary school SENCO who has the absolute privilege of supporting a pupil with cerebral palsy. After a conversation with parents, we are all in agreement that as a school, would love to celebrate World Cerebral Palsy Day. As part of this, we are looking at running an assembly but were wondering if anyone knew of any speakers or chairites who would be happy to come in to speak to our pupils. Yes, the pupil would be happy to speak for part of it, but we would also love an external speaker if at all possible. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

    Hi @ecstrawson

I'm Sara one of the Cerebral Palsy specialists here at Scope. I work in the CP Network.

It's lovely to hear your school wants to mark World Cerebral Palsy Day. It's vital we continue to raise awareness about this disability with future generations.

Me and my team all have cerebral palsy, so understand the complexities of living with the disability. We would be happy to arrange a meeting to see if we can support you and the school.

    Please contact cpnetwork@scope.org.uk

I look forward to hearing from you.
