My fav ice cream Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake currently on special offer in ASDA for £3.75p (normally £5.46p) so i'm ordering 4 that i'll pop into my freezer. Its a great price and goes some way to nullify the reduction in size from 500ml to 460ml

    Shrinkflation is getting really bad, I grabbed a mutipack bag of crisps the other day and noticed they are now putting 5 bags in them, instead of 6 but you pay more.

    Enjoy your icecream, I think its needed in this weather.

    I noticed the same with certain brands of bagels and wraps @rubin16, some that used to be packs of 6 are now packs of 5 and some that were packs of 5 are now packs of 4 but they've all gone up in price!

    Back in the day you had to expertly nibble off a small piece of a digestive biscuit otherwise it was too big to dunk into a normal sized mug of tea. Nowadays the sides of a digestive biscuit don't even touch the sides of a mug. And what about the size of a Jaffa cake nowadays… surely that should be a criminal offence.

    The manufacturer would simply say it's the only way to keep costs down, due to increased costs in raw materials.

    Besides all of these things are highly processed junk foods, I expect most people would be more concerned about eggs, milk, minced beef etc, staples of the average family.

    Prices go up the amount we get is less

    Have you seen the Sixe of chocolate bars now

    And yes 5 crisps in the multi packs

    Chocolate bars are so small now! I swear the sharing bags are the size that the normal bags used to be.
