Can a current PIP claim be asked to attend a face to face assessment

My last assessment was by phone but they didn't tell me how my next one would be carried out. I have a problem travelling as I have Epilepsy, Schizophrenia and Fibro Myalgia so attending a face to face appointment would be absolutely impossible for me.

Does anyone know what the criteria for carrying out a face to face assessment would be and what I could do to change it if that is what is going to happen to me.

Hi @Dhaladog, If you get offered a face-to-face but that's not accessible to you, you should be able to change it. If you give the enquiries line a ring, you can explain to them about your conditions and why you might find it difficult to attend an in-person assessment. Hopefully they should be able to rearrange it to something that might be more accessible for you ☺️

Has this happened to you, or are you making some plans just in case it does?

    Hi welcome to the community.

You can write asking for a telephone or paper based assessment as a 'reasonable adjustment'.

They may or may not agree.
