The phone charities don't help anymore...
It's gotten to a point where I'm like things have changed with the phone charities...am I the only one that's noticed this change?
Samaritans only giving me 10-15 mins, Shout keeps signposting me to go to the police and are ready to call the police all the time to conduct safeguarding checks, and Another charity told me we only sign post, and refused to talk to me because I didn't want to share my surname? We're not a counselling service, or they say we only concentrate on only suicide prevention but refuse to talk to me about the things that are causing suicidal thoughts/emotions?
It doesn't make sense, and it's actually led me to the point where I don't call anyone for support anymore
The most famous lines I've ever heard from the charities are "have you told your mental health team this" WHAT...the mental health team who don't call you back and refuse to support you because it's 8:50 in the morning, and the mental health team said were not going to help you because it's NOT 9:00
I feel it's a system I feel that designed for me to fail
I can't maintain myself
I'm not going to win this battle.
Love you everyone x

I was going through some stuff early last year, rang the Samaritans (on a Sunday morning), and the guy I spoke to was about as much use as a cardboard Teapot and that's being kind.
Basically, the HA were doing my 'ead in, I was having problems with my support company, I felt like the world and his wife and Mother in law were against me.
Basically, the whole system is NOT designed for disabled people in general IMO and never will be.

We understand how exhausted and let down you feel and it makes sense why you feel so frustrated with the system right now @Girluk55
A member of the team is going to send you an email shortly, please keep an eye out for it.

I hear you. I no longer even attempt to phone any helplines as they invariably just add to my distress. And mental health support appears to be non-existent
