Pip extension letter - is it real?

Hello so today i got a letter of pip saying my pip has been extended to june 2029 is this real i have never heard of enything happening like this before

Hi @john91, yes it's real! They're extending some awards to help them cope with the backlog. I hope that's put your mind at ease now you don't need a review for another 3 years.
