Quick question:- I'm on UC and am due to receive £1000 gift from my father, which I intend to lodge to a web savers account. It will bring my total capital to around £5000. Do I need to declare it to UC via my journal?
Thanks in advance

Only if it takes your savings over £16K, otherwise they won't care.
Although having said that, you probably should declare it in case anyone says anything.

They aren't interested in capital under £6k.
