Taking a support worker to a comic con without their own ticket?
Above.
I'm attending a Con at Barnsley Metrodome this coming Sunday, I've bought my own ticket but am unsure if I need to buy another one for the support staff member, even though he says he's coming in costume.
The problem is that we attended a Taekwondo competition at the same venue last month, and the organisers were funny with my support staff member because she didn't have a ticket to the event, just her ID Lanyard from work.
I've emailed the event organisers, Creed Conventions, no response yet, and I've just tried to contact them again via their website, which threw up database errors! Not very inspiring IMO, and they wonder why they have a 2 Star rating on Trustpilot.co.uk?
So anyway, will there be a problem on Sunday?

Possibly, it would be impossible to know unless you know their terms and conditions around support staff and whether they need a ticket or not.
I know alot of places don't require an additional ticket and just support worker ID is usually accepted, however this isn't for everywhere and it depends on the venue and events own terms.

I'll try and contact the venue somehow then.
I'm just so over companies with the communication skills of a Sheep who do not respond to emails unless they want summat.

I got emails yesterday from the venue and Creed Conventions, Creed say I have to take a PIP letter with me on Sunday to prove I need the support.

Glad you've got it sorted. I think that's great your support worker is going to dress up! Have they said what they're going as?

No, he's keeping it as a surpise, although I'm actually wearing most of my own costume now.
And no, I am not posting a selfie, maybe I'll upload some pics when we get back on Sunday.

Oh I like that he's keeping it as a surprise! We always love to see pictures but no pressure. Are you going as the character with the 2 guns? Sorry I can't remember his name.

The Shadow.

Oh yeah I remember now. Have you made the guns?

Nope, I bought cheap plastic prop guns from Aliexpress.com, which finally arrived this morning.

Best Comic Con ever, especially when I came second in the over 16 section of the Cosplay Competition.
And won £15 in cold, hard cash.

Leeds next Saturday.
I'm just trying to source a new camera, I realise I could use my phone but I prefer a proper camera.
