Carers element. Can my husband get it if he works full time?
hi I’m new here so bare with please …
So currently we get Uc my partner works full time aswell as cares for me I get lwrca element on the claim I also get enhanced pip both components
Now I care for my daughter and I get carers allowance which is deducted from the Uc my question is if my partner became my carer would he then get the carers element even though he works full time. ???

Yes, Carers Element doesn't have earnings rules like Carers Allowance.
Carers Allowance would be added to your award before deductions.

Yes he could have claimed before.
No him getting Carers Element for looking after you, will not impact the Carers Allowance you get for looking after your daughter.

As I advised the other poster, Carers Element has no earnings limit.
As long as you get a qualifying benefit, Carers Element for him can be added to your UC award before any deductions.
