I recently won my tribunal for pip.It took 2l months from 19/09/2024 to recently such a long drawn out process mainly because of my doctors original pip assesment done by a doctor and nurse i'd never even met.It took a change of doctor to finally have on record my conditions.What kind of system treats somebody thats contributed into it for over forty years, been doctors once in that time, as if everything they are saying is a lie.The telephone conversations you are supposed to have had with the person being nothing like reality.Merely answering the phone means no breathing problems,and you can "txt with dexterity".Fair play to the judge and doctors for going through what must off been quite a muddle of evidence.Anyway what i'm saying is dont give up as frustrating as it was

I have to admit it was only through other people telling me i should claim that i actually did.After my first telephone assesment and subsequent refusal for my claim i read what and how they assesed my claim and nearly gave up.I literally left it to the last day that i could appeal to do so.Another telephone assesment another failure.Then i did the mandatory review step.Another phone call this time from a supervisor who literally talked down to me and made light of my conditions.That was the red rag to the bull.I was fed up of people being sparing with the truth(lying)and went down the tribunal route.Fortunately i had a new doctors surgery who were dealing with my conditions and i had written evidence which i provided to the tribunal.My first tribunal all three members were very nice and allowed me to change my tribunal date so as i could provide imformation from my occupational therapist.Second tribunal lovely judge,obviously the medical professionals were asking more questions.It's taken 22 months and today i had a phone call asking if i wanted my payment in one lump some.Apparently that means it wont be long.The process was long and i think unfair with how the initial telephone calls treat people.But don't be scared to go to tribunal i found it the fairest part of the whole process holiday for me and the pooch i think.

Hi @Sturge, thank you so much for sharing this- I'm sure it'll be really helpful to others who are going through a similar situation. It sounds like a really tough and draining process for you, but thankfully it paid off.
