Received odd and confusing postal letter from DWP about my ESA
Basically, it says:
We have looked at your claim again following a recent change.
From 14 March 2024, —- then it goes on to explain the rates then. Eh? 2024?
Then, after more lines of rates relating to 2024 and 2025, it says -
From 9 April 2026 your ESA will be £145.90 a week.
Is that right? The letter is confusing. I am also on U.C.
Thanks a lot for any insight in to this, it would be appreciated. :)

Hi,
This sounds like the standard uprating letter that comes every year. It should have been delivered around April. It may have got delayed in the post. Is there a printing date on the letter at all?
£145.90 per week is correct for 2026/27 New Style ESA Support Group rate for over 25's.
It will most likely change again in April 2027 and you will get another letter for that.

Thanks OverlyAnxious. BTW, I no longer get notified by Scope Community when any of my posts get answered. I don't know why. I found your reply just by browsing the forum.

@ESABenefitsUK123 You probably turned off notifications in your profile settings, you can simply turn them back on.
