Would Robot carers solve the staff shortage problem in the care sector?

I'm just watching a new comedy on BBC 1 called "Ann Droid" starring Sue Johnston, famous for playing Sheila Grant in Brookside and Barbera in the Royle Family.

It's got me thinking about whether Robot carers would solve the problems of constant staff shortages in the care sector.

What do you lot reckon?

    No.

    But also I think that's the point of the show, deeper than just a bit of entertainment.

    Must admit, I didn't find it particularly funny tbh. Hopefully the next episode will be a bit lighter…
