What's your guilty pleasure TV show?📺

I've recently got very into watching Nothing To Declare. It's a factual TV show covering the airport customs department and border security in Australia.

I cannot get enough of watching tourists explain why they have weird taxidermy animals or undeclared raw chicken in their suitcases. Brings me endless thrills 😂

What's something you feel a bit silly watching but you love anyway?

Love Island: Unseen Bits. 😅

Don't really watch the 'normal' shows, but that one's like an out-takes show on Saturday nights. It's just generally cheerful, nothing too heavy or shocking, bit of an escape from reality!

Also amazes me how they still manage to find new ways to occupy themselves after already having spent many weeks in the same place without going anywhere and without access to TV or internet etc!

It must be pretty boring for them to stay in the villa all that time with nothing to do. What do they get up to when they're not doing the other filming?

I love watching Police Interceptors and Traffic cops. I also like watching Motorway cops catching Britain's speeders. The is a programme that used to be on TV but you can only watch it on the 5 (was called My5 originally) and that's called motorway hell on the highway as shows dashcam videos from the UK and around the world.

I also like watching CSI:MIAMI, CSI:NEW YORK, NCIS, NCIS NEW ORLEANS and NCIS LA. There is a new NCIS coming soon (I'm not sure when it's coming to the UK screens) but it's going to be called NCIS New York and it'll be starring LLCoolJ as special agent Sam Hannah.

They don't seem to get bored. Often exercising or making up games or songs or dance routines. Seem to spend a lot of time on personal hygiene and making food. And then just talking about really random things.

The one thing I wasn't prepared for was the amount of flatulence…and not just on the guys side either!

Way back in the 80s when the late Cilla Black did it, I used to love Blind Date! Except the couples almost never got on, in the entire series I think there was about 2 couples who ended up getting hitched! Imagine the conversation with the kids "Dad? How did you meet Mum?" and he says "Oh I won her on a TV game show!" LMAO!

I don't really feel embarrassed about any TV shows that I like to watch, I'd happily admit to watching everything that I watch to anyone.

However if I were to feel embarrassed or guilty about anything, then I'm guessing it would probably be Russ Abbot, as yes, it's outdated and some of the jokes are very corny.

There's also the really early series of Big Brother, like BB1, BB2, BB3, BB4, and BB5, I think even back then it was classed by many as a guilty pleasure, and I don't think most people would be able to understand how I can still enjoy watching all of those really old episodes now, including plenty of live footage that I've found on Youtube.

And then there's watching the shopping channels QVC and Ideal world from the really early 2000's, I've found a lot of footage on Youtube, and once again I don't anyone would be able to understand why I'd want to watch stuff like that, but, I just find it nostalgic, it takes me back to a better time.

I started watching Pretty Little Liars which is normally out of my 'comfort zone' but i quite liked it, even if it was a bit cheesy and silly at times, but after over 100 episodes i got a bit bored with it and haven't been back to it for a while!! 😝

Haha @OverlyAnxious, that's so funny to imagine all those glamorous people farting away 😂 I've never got into proper Love Island but that side of things sounds fun to watch. I'll have to give it a go.

Some excellent choices there @Amberpearl! Casualty was a favourite of mine for a long time.

What time frame of Top Gear do you go for @66Mustang? Is it the Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond episodes?

@SheffieldMan1976 Blind date was amazing with Our Cilla! I used to watch that too on a Saturday night in the late 90s/early 00s. Do you remember the episode where she found out one of the contestants was a journalist under cover? A classic!

I'm getting into the Motorway Cops stuff too @BrianMcFaddenfan26! I watched one the other day with motorway cops in New Zealand. I found it amazing that so many of the drivers were delighted to be on camera despite being pulled over for doing some very bad driving.

I remember the older series of Big Brother were really quite interesting @Ross1975. When it was new it felt like a proper groundbreaking experiment and the psychology side of things was more prevalent. And I get what you mean about the nostalgia being comforting. I find music from a particular time does a similar thing for me even if it's stuff I wouldn't normally listen to these days.

Nothing wrong with a bit of cheese @Starman! those sorts of things are easy to dip in and out of too. I do the same with Grey's Anatomy. Too many episodes to commit fully, but every now and then I'll do a few in a row!
