Hi, my name is malcome!
I’ve had to be on Pips ( my only benefit) for many years. Basically my feet were crushed and other bones. I’ve since lost any real use of my hands because of years on crutches. I still suffer from post trauma - since1992 ( I didn’t know anyone could have such until the died but apparently they can ). I had a tough time getting PIPs and indeed keeping it.
I lost my appeal when DWP lowered my rating from high because I went home to Canada for a last time to say final farewell to my family there a decade ago— I was too ill after 1 year in hospital following the crash ( a drugged up maniac on wrong side of road ) to return to Canada, duel Citizenship. The trip was hell on earth for me despite taxi’s, wheelchairs etc. Since the Appeal decision I’ve hardly left this bungalow and avoid people wanting conversation- but enough about me. This is not for discussion, in fact don’t know why I wrote it, madness and morphine perhaps.

@malcome Hi and welcome to the community :) Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry reading that the appeal didn’t go your way, I think this is really unfair if it’s simply linked to going to Canada? It also sounds like it has affected your life going forwards and has led to you becoming isolated. I hope that you can find this community a welcome place where you can feel comfortable to talk with other members here :)
