Hello- I don’t know what I am supposed to do or say on here? Looking for HELP & support. I live alone & am really struggling with real life situations (in general) at the moment, actually it’s been too hard for a long time. Because I am considered to be an attractive older woman & having curves- I have often attracted too much attention from weird men/people in general? I ended up living in a dodgy area of Birmingham (near Alum Rock) & have recently been the victim of a sexual assault- actually it’s happened 3 times since I moved here, from awful men pretending to help me & then suddenly. . . . Anyway, my donation fridge broke down 3 weeks ago & I don’t have any spare £ or savings in order to afford to get another fridge freezer. I am scared of going out much & or dressing up? Etc etc. I’m just shutting down mentally & spending too much time in bed being depressed.😔 I need help to get help, if that makes any sense? Please. I am on Universal credit & don’t know if I am eligible for any help? Please. {moderator removed - personal information}. Sorry if it’s TMI? Too much info. Help.

    Firstly, welcome to the community and my apologies for the delay in your post appearing – it was initially captured by one of our moderation filters but I’ve released it now.

    I’m so sorry to read about what’s been happening to you. It’s completely understandable how this has impacted you wanting to dress up, or even go out at this point.

    I won’t add too much about the sexual assaults here, but will be sending you an email imminently so please keep an eye out for it.

    With regards to your fridge freezer, I’ve added a link for a potential white goods grant that might be able to help replace this: White Goods Grants

    Have you reached out to your council or police about this and how unsafe you’re feeling about everything? They might be able to support with a move to a safer environment.

    I’ll add some more support options in the email, but just wanted to reach out initially here.
