Evening all,
So im having an absolute nightmare with my WC50, I Had help from the money advise team to fill the form in and posted on the 2/4/26 it conviently was "lost" and I heard about this via my UC journal, luckily for me the money advise team had a copy and was resent the 21/4/26
They reached out to my GP 21st May and they sent my patient summary
I should of had a over the phone assessment last Friday at 11.25, they called me at 9.50 to say appt had been cancelled due to the nurse not being available, I managed to get an appt for today,my appt should of been at 1.30pm, they called at 12.34 to check i was still available, I stated of course, any 1.30 comes and no call,I leave it till 2.10 and ring them, apparently nurse has written on my file "tried to call 3xs ,number not recognised " although they called at 12.34, im so so upset that this has happened a second time, luckily I have another appt the 6/8/26, but thats another 2 weeks , i just dont understand because of "admin errors" we suffer, so another 2 weeks of heightened anxiety 😪😪

That's really frustrating @Yorkshire23, especially as I know what it's like to build yourself up to these sort of assessments.

Yes of course,ill let you all know, I will keep ringing every few days in tbe building up to see if I can get a cancellation
Another question, im also going through a tribunal with PIP, is it common for the DWP to call to gather evidence for their report on a Sunday? It really threw me

Nope.
They don't generally work weekends.

I hate to be pedantic but it's largely their own fault there's such a big backlog of cases.

Up date all, so I managed to get uc50 appt changed to the 3rd August, which is good,
My call on Sunday was legit, however they are not offering a settlement prior to tribunal, im still waiting for court bundle, despite having my patient summary they are not changing their minds, however I did manage to obtain further evidence from my pulmonary rehabilitation team on Monday and they state and I quote
"She continues to have disabling symptoms of dysfunctional breathing these include palpitations, shortness of breath, air hunger, brain fog, inability to find the correct word and an inability to take a deep breath. I observed her in clinic today she was breathless whilst talking and had to stop several times to catch her breath throughout the conversation. She was also breathless on arrival to the clinic room having walked approximately 300 m and needed to sit for 2-3 minutes in order to regain her breath. Her breathing pattern is erratic and worse in certain situations"
I do have another pup claim running alongside the tribunal case,and obviously the uc50 aswell, hopefully the extra evidence will be enough,what do you guys think ?

That's good news about the meeting move @Yorkshire23. Do you have your tribunal date yet?
If you're running 2 requests alongside one another, just be careful that this new one doesn't then cancel the tribunal award if successful.

No, I haven't recieved bundle yet, but apparently its been sent, im hoping when they recieve the new evidence they still msy decide to settle out of court

Ok, had assessment this morning, anxiety was through the roof
Luckily the assessor was a respiratory specialist, she observed i was struggling on phone and decided just to focus on respiratory questions,she ibservered i had to take my inhaler whilst on the call, and she also accepted my pulmonary rehabilitation email evidence on phone (I did send it,but she didnt appear to recieve it)
Its now the waiting game, anxiety through the roof

Glad you had the assessment @Yorkshire23, try and be gentle and kind to yourself the rest of the day. Have you got much planned or are you able to just try and recover from the stress of it all?

Sorry for late response, I felt ill all week due to the build up and anxiety but managed to have a nice weekend with my loved ones , is it normal for them to decide just to concentrate on one section ie the respiratory?? Also have my PIP assessment Thursday 13th for the secondary pip claim, can already feel anxiety for that building up.

Yes it's quite normal for the WCA assessment to focus on one area or not discuss every single problem.
The scoring is not like PIP, if the assessor feels you meet one descriptor which awards you LCW or LCWRA then they'll focus on that.
Once you are assessed as meeting a threshold for LCW or LCWRA it would be pointless carrying on the assessment.

Yorkshire23 I am sorry, this is an absolute nightmare and so incredibly unfair. You are suffering the consequences of their total incompetence and it is completely understandable that your anxiety is through the roof right now. You did everything right. Please take screenshots of your call history right now, both the 12:34 call and your 2:10 call. Write a clear note in your UC Journal explaining exactly what happened so it is officially on record that the nurse's claim is wrong. Let the Money Advice Team know too, just so they are kept in the loop. For the appointment on the 6th if they are even 10 minutes late, ring them straight away so they can't pull this trick again. Be gentle with yourself over the next two weeks. The system's mistakes do not change the validity of your claim.

Guys, im over the moon to report it took 1 week to get a "verdict" was told today I was awarded LCWRA , im so thankful, also very very surprised as i expected it to take weeks
My court bundle arrived today I gained 4 points, but no settlement, but working through information with my money advise team the contradictions within the report is ridiculous,so seemingly ive got alot to be hopeful for
Ive also got my secondary pip assessment claim on Thursday, so anxious about that, but ultermately the LCRWA was the more important one for me, thanks for your support n keep fingers crossed for me on Thursday

OOk Guys had the pip assessment, and have a copy of the pa4 , seemingly the recommendations are enhanced for both, hopefully tge dwp will agree and sign off on that, also the recommendation report is extra evidence for my tribunal
Ive Also had a copy of the LCRWA report for the award. Seemingly all the other categories I was expected to be asked about were "curtailed" due to my breathlessness, which would explain why I thought they missed a lot of questions out
