we have been receiving council tax reduction for over two years and have just been informed we are not entitled to any now our circumstances have not changed I get carers allowance as I look after my husband 24/7 and I get standard pip for myself my husband is on state pension and gets pip allowance on daily living and mobility but now have just contacted us saying we have 200 pound to now pay for last year and full council tax from this month please help as I suffer with mental health and have just had major operation and really am stressed

Council Tax Reduction is decided on at a local level and each local authority has different rules for this. They can and do change the criteria as well.
It's very hard to advise on individual cases from here.
I'd recommend contacting a local welfare rights organisation who will be familiar with the local rules & can look at your bill to see whether it is correct or incorrect.
As Council Tax is a priority bill, I'd get in touch with someone local ASAP.
