Advice needed about PIP
I've received a text from the DWP on Monday saying I'd been awarded PIP. I originally rang them back on January and I believe I'm due some backpay. I don't know what my award is yet, I have to wait for the letter. I've tried the GOV.ONE to check but I don't have the ID needed so couldn't access it.. I heard that my backpay will be automatically processed the day I got their text. So I'm just wondering if anyone has knowledge of this and is it true? It's my first time claiming PIP and the whole process was a nightmare and I'm glad it's over.. If it's true the backpay is automatically processed and it will hit my account in 3 to 5 days would be brilliant.. Thanks in advance..

Hi @April56 and a warm welcome to the community from me!
Yes, backpay is automatic and should be in your account in the next few days😊1 -
