Pip review - completed or extended?

Hello. My review for Pip was due for review this December. After a couple of extensions, I completed my review forms and sent them via tracked delivery about exactly a month ago. I have since heard nothing from PIP via text or via letter. I haven't even received a text saying they received my forms.

A few weeks ago I found out that you can download a statement of benefit online via the gov.uk one login. I checked it many times and it always had my original awards dates. I randomly checked it today and upon downloading my award letter it now says I've been awarded Pip from July 2026 to July 2032 (at the same rate as my original award).

Is this likely to be accurate? Considering they never even notified me they received my review forms or were even looking at them? It's been radio silence.

Is it likely that this was the outcome of the review or do you think they extended my award because the review queue is quite long. It's been less than a month since I sent my forms so I'm just a bit confused at the turn around and not hearing anything. Is there a way to tell what has gone on? Thanks!

It sounds like you had a paper based assessment but they may have extended your award due to huge back logs and increasing numbers of new claims.

You say you have downloaded your award letter so that will likely be their descison.

Other members here had extentions without assessments.

    It happened to my partner.

You will eventually get a letter in the post.
