Council tax - PIP counted as earnings
Hi just join so not sure how it works,but just what to let you know that leicester city council have found away to take some of your pip award off you by counting it as earnings cheers andy burnham

Hi @moonbeam100 and welcome to the community. I'm sorry you're affected by this. The decision to count PIP as income is made by the council themselves. Are you coping financially?

False, back when I lived in an HA Flat, I was paying Council tax at the significantly reduced rate of £17 a month, even though I was on enhanced rate PIP.

I think the decision was approved by the leader of your local council, not the PM.

@SheffieldMan1976 not all councils count PIP as income so your experience may be different.

I pay £160 a month.
All I get is single person rebate at 25%
I'm not entitled to any help or with my rent.

I get no help with being a pensioner, you have to be on pension credit.
