I received a message in journal to ask if I’d like a chat to talk about courses. I have severe depression, anxiety and panic attacks. I have attempted suicide twice in the last 5 years and am on lcwra. I messaged back to say that I’m not well enough and not sure I will be I’m 59 years old. Instead of just leaving it the work coach messaged again 4 hours later to say she thought it would be helpful for me, she messaged again the next morning to say that if I changed my mind and if not she would be back in contact with me soon. My anxiety has gone through the roof, UC and basic PIP are my only income. I messaged to say it’s not a case of changing my mind but that I am not well enough and under psychiatrist. I’m really worried that she’ll come back for me

    Any help please

received journal message from work coach asking if I’d like phone call talk about courses, explained with severe depression anxiety and panic attacks that wouldn’t be viable. She contacted me twice more letting me know that she would be back in touch. I am under psychiatrist on strong medication and have attempted suicide twice in 2 years on LWCRA? My anxiety is very high

It's a voluntary thing and while I understand it can be scary, I don't think she is meaning to make you feel pressured @carrianne. They know some claimants could benefit from the courses and it is meant as gentle encouragement, even though it often doesn't feel that way.

As you have LCWRA you can not be forced to do it and nothing bad will happen with your claim for refusing. They may continue to offer this help but you can decline.
