Phone assessment
Hi I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this please.....
I've had my pip phone assessment, during the call the assessor seemed nice and patient but as we were going through the questionnaire I'd sent in she would say you've ticked no to this but I'm going to ask you again as I think I know the answer - a few time during the call she would ask questions on my questionnaire and follow up with I think I already know the answer before I'd said anything - I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this as this is all new to me.
Thanks

Part of what the assessors (should) do is read between the lines - although you'd ticked no it might be that from your other words the assessor has disagreed with that no answer so has sought further clarification.
An example from my own assessment I'd considered which box to tick for mobility long and hard- my assessor asked a couple of times around this descriptor and I guess she'd picked up on that I've potentially overrated my ability.

Ok thank you, so on the whole is this a good a bad thing for them to do that - sorry in just so confused by it all.

I get the impression she was being through, which I think is a good thing 😊
You can ring PIP for a copy of the report before the decision, if they've gotten it from the assessment provider they will send it to you.

Ok thank you for your help, yes I rang them my assessment was at 9 finished my 10 and at 10,45 I had a text from dwp saying they'd received my written report - guess it's just a waiting game now.
Thanks
