Why can't we have nice things? Re: medical negligence discussion
The previous discussion about medical negligence has vanished, I clicked on my notification and it's missing. Interesting timing.
I almost never speak on here and now I have, it disappears. Maybe I will just go back to being quiet. That post would have been helpful to so many people, now it's gone.
We have all gone through something or another in terms of medical treatment and or the way we have been treated by medical professionals.
I was so excited, hoping we would share some of our experiences and what we did about them. Ones of us that had no idea we could even make a complaint, would have used this to learn and think about what we have been through and shared our experiences.
I come onto this site because it has been so helpful with information, advice, signposting and more. Now it's been deleted and the helpful information with it.
WHY CAN'T WE HAVE ANYTHING NICE?

Hi @Well_Well_Well the thread you are talking about might not have disappeared for long. Sometimes when things get a bit heated the mods remove them overnight to allow things to cool down.
Lets see if the thread returns tomorrow.
Take care.

Hi Bluebell21
Okay 👍️, sometimes there is useful information in a post and it just gets deleted when the entire post is removed. It's gets incredibly frustrating, when you go back to find something you need to help you. Ok, I will check back. Let's see what happens.
Rather than deleting posts can the names be removed or speak to the people, give them a warning? If the warning doesn't change behaviour, then treat us like they did at school and put us in time out for 3 days, 7 days, 2 weeks. There is also the option of exclusion from the site.
The majority is suffering because of a few.

Hi @Well_Well_Well under House Rules at the top of the page on lap top or House Rules under Quick Links on your mobile it explains what behaviour is expected on the forum and the consequences if this standard is not achieved.
It includes some of the things you have mentioned.

For me most recently having a physio tell me I am safe to walk taking a 10 second observation over everything I have reported, I am 50/50 at the moment on a complaint of negligence. These HCP's have a lot of power, and it can have far reaching affects. They really do struggle when people have sporadic conditions.

I have muscular dystrophy and see no clinicians, there isn't always anything that can be done. I am completely unmedicated too, as apparently neuro muscular pain is hard to alleviate, and I got fed up taking drugs that didn't appear to deal with the pain.

I missed your post, but as @Bluebell21 said it may return
As for medical negligence, my cmht refuse to see me, even referrals from the police, I have complained which results in nothing, I now have mt mp asking questions from cmht but she’s being lied to about my care

What is 'nice' about medical negligence stories?
I have many and on the whole, I'm grateful to the NHS for saving my life more than once. I wasn't charged for the surgeries and interventions so I have never considered suing for the mistakes made.
If we all did, there would be no NHS left.

Once the offending posts have been deleted and any posts related to them which wouldn't make much sense anymore if they were left up have also been deleted then the topic should come back as this is what usually happens.
I agree that it's a shame when a thread with important info in it gets closed, but it's what the moderators need to do so any unpleasantries do not continue while they clean it up.

Which is what people of a certain Political persuasion want, an American style "Health insurance" system, which almost nobody in this Country would be able to afford.

It'll certainly be a sad day if that ever happened, SheffieldMan1976, this is why I can't understand how Reform can be so popular, I'm pretty sure most people in this country would hate to see that happen to the NHS.
