Cup holder

Hello, my partner can only use one hand so she controls the chair with a joystick.

The other side has the same fixing point under the arm but is not used,

Are there cup holder available, large cup size that will utilize the fitting slot under the arm?

Are you looking for something that fixes on to the arm rest, or is there a specific fitting that you're hoping to get something to slot into?

If its the former, there's a few options if you do an internet search for Powerchair Cup holders.

Other wheelchair cup holders tend to fix onto the poles, but that might work depending on what sort of structure your partner's chair has.

I'm sure one of the members might have a more specific recommendation than me though, so I hope they'll be along soon! ☺️

You have helped, I was using the wrong search term. I was using "wheelchair" but "powerchair" gave much better results. Thank you.

Most powerchairs are designed to be ambidextrous, one joystick with buttons on either side.

What I am looking for is something to slide into the slot on the other are side for a drink holder. Now armed with new information, the search continues now have to find it.

I was looking for the same thing and found many on Amazon search on *CUPHOLDERS for wheelchairs*

However - they depend on the wheelchair having a suitable mounting point

Amazon and Google are very fickle and we as humans fill in blanks and miss things.

@Rosie_Scope showed me a different search term, I'd been using "wheelchair"but "powerchair" in this instance is a better term.

My partners needs are not unique but are different and with the design of the chair not all cup holders work as needed. With the chair being folded up for the boot, partners disability, and the placement of the battery side mounted does not work for cup holder. The logical place is the forward from the arm, as only one arm has anything in place using the fixing spot for a cup holder makes sense. Joy stick one side and cup holder the other.

I agree - it's not as simple as it could be

Have you considered trying to get something 3d printed for you ?

Not sure 3D printing would have enough strength.
