I need direction how I can move from Nottingham to Eastbourne in housing association if I am on UC and DLWP and I am 60 years old

    Have you registered with a house swap website? There are a number of them available.

    There are 2 ways of moving:

    1. Tenancy transfer: You will need to contact the housing association to ask for this. They will explain their application process. This can take a long time, so it might be worth looking at the second option.
    2. Exchanging your home with someone else: You will need permission from your landlord, and will need to find someone to swap houses with. You can sign up to housing association mutual exchange sites to do this. One example is https://www.homeswapper.co.uk/ .

    From my experience in letting, you could start by speaking to your housing association and asking what options they have for moving to Eastbourne, including whether a transfer or mutual exchange is possible. It may also be worth contacting the council there to see what housing options and advice they can give you. Before making any decisions, I’d check how the move could affect your UC and other benefits as well.
