PIP Claim Issues

I have applied for PIP 5 times now! I complete the initial telephone application and am then sent the form to complete.

I then do this, send it off in the envelope provided and hear nothing back until I receive a letter in the post stating that they have looked at my claim and cannot award me PIP. This is because they asked me for some further information but did not receive it on time.

On all of the 5 mentioned previously, I have never received a letter or any correspondence asking for further information. I have all of my specialist, Doctor, hospital and discharge letters to provide evidence of needed.

I just want to ask what is happening? Is this a sneaky Way of DWP not awarding PIP and making sure I have no way of appealing it? Is there anything I can do going forward as I really don't want to fill in the PIP firm again. I am absolutely fed up and don't know where to turn

    have you a cab near you, they helped me with my pip claim

    I think that you need to contact Citizens Advice or a similar advice agency for support. It is not a good idea to make multiple claims for PIP unless there has been a significant change since you were last assessed. You need advice on why your PIP claim has failed so that if you challenge the decision or make a new claim you can address this. Have you been sending copies of your evidence to PIP with the PIP form? It is unusual for PIP to ask for further evidence if you have submitted evidence with the form. It is the responsibility of the person making the claim to provide the evidence.

    Hi @Hogie80. Have you applied for a mandatory reconsideration (appeal) before? Or did you complete a new application when you were not awarded?

    The usual route is to apply for a mandatory reconsideration if they decide not to award you. This gives you the opportunity to provide more evidence to support your claim.
