I have been using my oil filled radiator the last couple of weeks, but only when I go in the shower.

Jane315Starx,
I haven't yet resorted to putting heating on but have felt cold despite the indoor temperature reading 20 degrees! I have had to wear an extra layer or two already which seems ridiculous for time of year. Like you my house is cooler.

Its a little cooler here but my flat is quite warm so I haven't put the heating on.
I have a nice snug throw to use.

The first thing I said when I woke up this morning was that it felt chilly @Jane315STARX! We'll have to get the dressing gowns out soon😄

I'm going to resist putting the heating on for as long as possible. It was chilly earlier but it's starting to warm up now. I quite like it being a bit cooler because I can wear my warm, cosy jumpers and thick socks 😊

I'm in the South, still around 24 degrees inside. I try to be strategic with window and curtain openings. During the summer it was to try to keep the heat out, now it's trying to keep it in, in preparation for autumn.

Blimey, I haven't even got a jumper out yet, never mind putting heating on.
It's still 28c indoors today, and such bright sunshine I've got the curtains closed!

I had 5 layers on when I went out with Gus at 19:30 for two hours. It's pleasant enough in the house and back garden, but as soon as I get down to the sea, the wind is strong and cold.
I can't imagine having to dig out a jumper, I have worn one all summer, predominantly in the evenings.

I'll have a pair of mitts and a woolly hat on later on the return journey with Gus. These days I go by how I feel, not the date on the calendar.
Some dog walkers i see, they have their hands thrust deep into the pockets of their shorts, and often look thoroughly uncomfortable; cyanosis of the lips is not a good look! 🤣

I can't believe how much colder it is with you @ChrisR777! You're definitely right in dressing for the weather. It doesn't matter what month it is, if you need gloves, you need them.

I assume not in the shower? If i'm in my birthday suit, I want my De Longhi on in the bathroom!

The wind from the North Sea is almost always cold, also I am wheeling along, sat immobile , which makes a big difference. I have said to people before, go and sit on a bench by the sea for 2 hours, then tell me how warm it is!
We are at that crossroads now, where some people are happy enough to be lightly clad, but more and more are putting on their puffa jacket or whatever, and i wasn't the only one last night with a hat on.
A fit, young person is still happy enough with summer clothes, a few even paddling in the sea in the evening. I used to swim in it too, and it Is very cold all year. I wouldn't encourage anyone to do so alone, especially not when we are losing the light much earlier.

It's got a little chilly for me to sometimes, but not enough for me to put the heating on.

I would love a cold snap!
Here in Surrey the heatwaves have been relentless day and night month after month.
Current temperature outside (04:24am) 17 degrees.
Current temperature inside my flat 31.7 degrees.

So that day I put the heating on seemed to be a one off because the next day the temperature rose.Today also seems warmer however thunderstorms are predicted which I absolutely love.so looking forward to these
