Hi everybody. Not been here for a while. I just wanted to know if there is anybody that can help. I work 22hrs a week & if I get under a certain amount UC top me up. But now my doc has told me to take time out of work. Now he gave me a sick note. I sent it to work & I also sent a copy to UC. We don't get sick pay so only SSP.. so will UC then help me with a larger amount in top up. I have a sick note for a whole month. I'm going to struggle I know that. But does anybody know how it all works?.

    Hi,

    SSP just replaces your normal earnings for UC purposes.

    So if you get less SSP than your normal wage then yes you should get more UC for that month.
