Trust funds, discretionary or disabled trust fund? Anyone chosen Mencap?

I have a disabled adult son. In the next few years he will be receiving some money from his grandparents, approximately £20,000. I would like to set up a trust fund. Does anyone know whether:

1. A Discretionary or a disabled trust fund is better?
2. Has anyone chosen 'Mencap' - where they are the sole trustee?

Hi, yes he receives UC and PIP but it would only be the money from his grandparents which I would be putting into a trust.
