I just don't know anymore.
This might be not very well received but here we go, I was on another disability site today, just having a read of comments, and I found it not very supportive. There was in fact a lot of negativity over things people shared their fears over, whether it be the Timms report and what may-may not come, others explaining situations they currently find themselves in with pip reviews, uc problems. I guess just feeling in need of a bit of support through other people who may find themselves in similar position.
I know we can all delve into the depths of negativity but I feel there was no need for the personal attacks. I am so glad I didn't bother to comment myself.
Kind words cost nothing.Nobody expects flowery sentiments just a little understanding. Xx

Hi @Doglover2. Yes, there's definitely one extreme of toxic positivity where everyone is a Pollyanna and no one is allowed to have feelings that someone deemed to be "negative" feelings. Then there is the other extreme where people are submerged in these "negative" feelings. Then there's somewhere in between those two extremes. It's a pretty wide spectrum!
Then there's the other spectrum of very being cruel to being very kind.
It's pretty easy to be kind when someone is being kind, right? It's also pretty easy to be 'positive' when someone is being positive, right?

Sorry you didn't find the other community very supportive. We're glad that you feel comfortable to post here 😊
I think it can be easy to lose yourself to negativity when all the comments are negative and it's hard to come out of that. When I was first diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis I decided to join some forums but quickly left as I saw people feeding each other's negativity. I think it's such a shame that people don't support each other. I hope you find support here.
