Below knee amputees : How do you wash yourself?

My physio advised I stand in front of a bowl, which I have been doing. It keeps my prosthetic dry, and is safe.

But I recently gained access to a bath, so I tried that, but found it hard and very stressful. It was great feeling and being immersed in the water, but I found it quite dangerous, slippy, hard to move.

I am considering buying a shower stool.

Any advice?

Hi @Bailey2025. I don't know the answer, but there's a below-knee amputee person I watch on YouTube called Footless Jo. She has tons of information like that. I have peripheral neuropathy, so some time down the road I might come to that. Hopefully not. It's so unbelievably challenging! My hat goes off to you for stepping up to bat. have you thought of having a wet room, i have one and have a shower chair, i havn't had amputation but it was getting dangerous for me to get in and out of the bath
