broken chair

thought I'd give here a go because my chair is broken so I cant get out and terrorise the locals 😆

been told could be 4 weeks for repair and I'm stir mad already, miss my daily jaunt and not sure what ill do with Freddie (my 10 year old beagle)

    Four weeks is a long time to leave the locals without their regular dose of terror. Have you considered asking for a temporary replacement chair? It seems unfair that an entire community should have to go without simply because yours is undergoing repairs.

    Freddie may also need to be considered, as presumably his daily jaunt is part of the same arrangement.

    i dont know if there are other options i'm using a private company as self funded the chair, do they do temporary replacements?

    I'm not really sure how you think I could know, you've not mentioned what kind of chair it is or what company you're with, even if you did, I'm not going to know anything about them.

    Why not contact your company and ask them?

    Do you use a powered wheelchair @Hicks?

    If you can manage with a self-propelled, the Red Cross do temporary wheelchair hire. But I don't think they do any motorised chairs unfortunately, so it can be a bit limiting.

    Sometimes local mobility companies will hire out chairs - perhaps that's something you could look into as a temporary fix so you can get out with Freddie? Or if the company you bought your chair from have it in for repairs, it's probably worth giving them a ring to see if they can offer you anything.

    i wasnt asking if you know about my company specifically i already checked with them and they don't. you said about temporary replacement chairs so i was asking you if they - general THEY - like if ANYONE does this as i hadnt heard about it

    i hired someone from facebook to take freddie out once a day and have left my back door wedged open so he can get out when he needs to for now

    I wasn't trying to be rude. I just wasn't sure what you were expecting me to know about that kind of stuff. I assumed you were asking whether your own company offered one, hence my suggestion that you ask them.

    So you can still get around the house? Can you get outside your front door to your car if you have one?
