UC review coming up. Is a loan repayment something to be concerned about?
Hi, my name is Russ. I have a UC review tomorrow. I have supplied 4 months worth of bank statements
While I was working back in April, I took out a £4000 loan with my Bank. However, I realised it was too much and repaid the loan in full within 30 days. I have an early settlement letter to prove I returned the money. At the time I was not receiving any payments from UC, £0 for that assessment period
I restarted my claim in mid June when my job ended, so the transaction doesn't fall into this assessment period.I'm just a bit concerned about the large sums of money coming in and going out. Like I said, I have the documents to prove I returned the money
Thanks

Hi Russ and welcome to the community! I can't see it being a problem at all. You have the documents to prove that it was an early loan repayment if they question it.
I'm sorry your job ended. How are you coping with that?

Hi Rachel
Thanks for the reply.Yes, to my mind I can't see it being a problem. I am looking for work as a customer service advisor, so hopefully something will come along soon
Kind regards
