Thank you for completing that @MBPJS! It's so lovely to hear what you enjoy about the community😄
That's a great song, are you a big Katy Perry fan?
I remember you said before you were a big fan of healthy eating, what sort of things do you like to cook?😊0 -
I'm so happy that someone has used the template! Are you happy for me to post it on the Meet the Moderators discussion @MBPJS and hopefully others will follow?

you can post my template with the answers on discussion board if it encourages are those two introduce themselves
At the moment, my cooking is mostly survival making sure I stay on top of eating healthy food so making basic stir fry and simple food at home. Try to focus on protein fibre iron and vegetables. I don’t know what I am going to eat tomorrow but mostly I try and finish up what food I have in the fridge and freezer and have some healthy ready meals from the freezer when get really tired.0 -
Thank you @MBPJS! I will copy and paste it over now😊
That sounds really good, it's always very helpful to have food in the freezer ready to go. What sort of ready meals do you enjoy?0 -
@MBPJS Hello :) Welcome to the community. Hope you can find this a warm and welcoming place too :)
I try to do similar things with regards to eating. I worry about iron and fibre so I try to keep on top of that with eating certain foods. I also like stir fry too! My appetite has really struggled though lately after a brief upturn and I’m currently going through a phase where all I’m eating in a day is this pot from Sainsbury’s that has broccoli, asparagus, kale and peas in it. So I’m not doing very well with my eating

I find this helps me when I’m struggling or stressed especially with basic self care like eating well. Can’t do all of the above at once or even several in a day and some not at all. But eating healthy food (from a pot or a freezer ready meal) at least 3 times a day is a basic routine and think of all the feel good hormones and energy being provided for the body to make it to the next meal

Can I ask how 'toy' is a pronoun, please? I looked it up but am none the wiser.

This picture is really interesting, thanks for sharing and I can try to see if it can help me too. I hope your day has been kind to you today :)

weekend was kinder and restful because I can stay at home and go at my own pace and don’t have to go anywhere and deal with any unpredictabilities outside of myself like other people, appointments, public transport etc
My choice of pronoun that I made up for myself because it’s what resonates with my life experience so you won’t any definition if you google it

@MBPJS thanks for the overview of the happy hormones, I always mix them up in my head.
And with the 'toy' pronoun, do you mean that as a sort of rule to live by? To have fun, finding it in the little things? I don't want to assume, hence I am asking.
I hope this weekend is kind to you as well.

My pronoun TOY means and the way I have experienced my life has been like a toy - a negative life experience overall, of not being treated very well to put it in a nutshell. Like a toy means with very little agency Rights autonomy of my own. I hope that makes sense.
I easily mix up the hormones too as it’s been a new area to get to know for me and that’s why the info graphic has helped to focus on specific things every week that help build the Feelgoods and happier hormones in life. I find it often the small every day things that make the most difference

@MBPJS Ah, yes I definitely get the pronoun of toy with your explanation. Being toyed or messed around is very hard to deal with. Are there people out there - even if it is just a few - who do see you for who you are, you think?
Come to think of it, you might wear it as a badge… similar to the impressionist movement in art who took that name after it was supposed to be an insult. But I am not forcing you to feel bright about something that is painful. There is so much discomfort with people who don't know how to deal with someone being ill for whatever reason, that is not on us but definitely on them. Saying this as a reminder for myself at the same time. Not sure if I am explaining this properly, if you can't make heads or tails let me know. And what happy hormone have you experienced today with a small every day thing?

Thank you for explaining your pronoun @MBPJS. It really does make sense and I'm glad you've been able to find a name that fits with your life experiences. It's just a shame that those experiences have been negative.

i’m really frustrated with my living conditions. No one cares how uncomfortable I am living in such emotionally uncomfortable living conditions. So I do feel like a TOY with how I am treated in life that no one cares how uncomfortable I am. I am so uncomfortable emotionally. I’m so sick of dominance in my life being undermined and treated like I am nothing and my body is in so much pain and constant aggravation and there’s no comfort or care in my life. It’s like it’s not even worth bothering to talk about or express or put into words because it’s just takes so much effort. Feel as though it’s easier to just keep going through life like a robot and pretend that I’m okay.
Here is my favourite meme that describes my lifeAs for the feel good hormones - I went out today even though it was raining and all I want to do is stay at home and alone in my bed where I can rest feel safe warm comfort and safe. But I went out for hours that involved being around people in drop in community places. I feel really tired but I’m going to have a shower and go to sleep and I’m sure I’ll sleep off some of my intense emotion.

It makes sense why you're feeling that way @MBPJS, you are dealing with a lot. Good on you for venturing out though. Did you sleep okay? How are you feeling today?
