Hi Suzi,
I recently started working with people with Asperger's syndrome. I'm not familiar with the Bristol area but I've heard of two specialist services in greater London (part of NHS) that carry out assessments for diagnosis purposes.
For one of them you can get more info here: http://www.national.slam.nhs.uk/services/adult-services/adultautism/
It's important to consider what the benefits are of a formal diagnosis; sometimes people can access services because of a certain diagnosis, or get further help in their work environment. The post diagnosis support is very important.
What are the areas your son is struggling (ie work, college, personal relationships) ? And what does his GP think?0 -

The normal Stratagies with Autism Spectrum don't work. It's the lengths they go to to avoid stressful situations. The anxiety is off the scale.
I hope your son has amaged to get help and support. xx0
