Hi , we are looking for a doctor N.H.S or private who we can talk to about the general health of our 28 year old autistic son who has severe learning difficulties. He had a medical at our G.P.s which lasted less than 5 minutes , he was obviously afraid of my son and had no idea how to communicate with him.

Oh, I do feel for you. I hope you get some advice from from the professionals. My first thought is to contact the General Medical Council but I'm no expert, just got a child with moderate learning difficulties and ASD who HATES going to the doctor. The GP is pretty good but it's the reception staff who have little awareness.
Please let us know how you get on.0 -
