Travel Sickness medication

My youngest child has been sick on every car journey lasting more than 90 mins this year. The last time, we pulled onto the hard shoulder of the motorway and my ten year old son and I had to swap seats with lorries whizzing by my ears (I wasn't the driver, honest).
So the pharmacist told my husband that no liquid sickness meds exist on the market and we should crush two sturgeon (isn't that a fish, rather than a tablet? You know what I mean....) and supply 2 hours before travel time. She wasn't actually sure if the tabs worked when crushed in yogurt.....
So, can anyone recommend a travel sickness med that can be used on a child who will refuse tablets. Oh and I have tried the travel bands and unfortunately they were chucked before we got out the house!

Stugeron is cinnarizine which is an antihistamine. http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/travel-health/medicines/stugeron.html
It doesn't work for everyone
You could try dosing with liquid piriton see if that antihistamine has same effect ?
Try on a short non essential journey see how it suits him.
Ask gp about it if you unsure

And piriton is mentioned eg here http://www.mumknowsbest.com/our-experts/content/motion-sickness-and-how-avoid-it. Worth trying anyway .1
