I have been disabled since 1994 after an accident. I have the Freedom Pass, Blue Badge, ESA & PIP but since being made homeless in Sept 2014 my consultant refuses to operate on my ankle (pain relief) as I have no stable home. Harrow Council insist that they have no obligation to house me and am Band C. Very worrying time for me. Any ideas?

Dear Groovy123,
Sorry to hear about your housing problems.
I think this is something we need to discuss in more depth. Could you contact me at the helpline and leave your details or call me on 0808 800 3333 or email helpline@scope.org.uk
When you became homeless in September 2014, did you make a homeless application to the local authority and if so what decision did they make? I'm curious to know how your housing needs have been assessed.
Where are you currently staying because this will also impact on a homeless application/housing options assessment?
Look forward to talking to you in more detail about this.
Best wishes
Debbie
