in Autism and neurodiversity
Dreading the changeover. Not got the letter yet. We got the diagnosis from specialist at age 13. No follow up. Son is now 35. As he has a lifetime award no one ever followed him up. We are rarely at GP. Will this lack of evidence go against him? He doesn't have a social worker or cpn as he lives at home. Has never worked but just goes from training to training. Work placements have not worked out. Autism worker from years ago or job centre can't help him.

    Hi Conniefer, just had my sons PIP consultation yesterday.
    my son was diagnosed at the age if 10 and we have not seen anyone since , no gp no paed nothing , he's 16 and so when I filled out the form there wasn't a lot if recent evidence , so am hoping its gonna be ok .

    I now live in Spain, before I left UK was told by neuro that nothing else could be done for my SPMS. I take no medication, haven't seen any medic regards it. Will this go against my PIP claim and will I have to return to UK for accessments. 
    That is if uk government are still paying benefits to ex pats.

    Get him a Community Care Assessment. Don't fill out the form yourself but see if there's a Welfare rights worker who can help. See if you can get evidence from his training provers and do see your GP. They're used to cases such as yours.
