How can I help my son to communicate?

I'm new to this site! Only just knew it existed, I could really do with some advice on for my son to help him communicate.
He can't read or write and talking is limited but I know he wants to say more is there anything out there that can help?? -

Could you give me some more detail on your son. What is his age, disability and if you have seen any other professionals with regards to the difficulties you're facing with his communication problems.
