Hi all, I am a 65 year old male, who is wheelchair bound. In 2014 I had a Liver transplant, due to a non-alcoholic liver disease. By the time a suitable organ became available, I only had 3 months to live. During my recovery, I was prescribed high doses of steroids, which are known to have a link to osteoporosis. Giuess what, I got it! In 2015 I had to have an operation to remove my blocked bile duct, and "re-plumb" my digestive tract. Whilst learning to walk again, I had a fall, breaking my pelvis and 10 vertebrae. I haven't walked since without my sticks, and I can only stand for a few minutes unaided. On the bright side, I am still alive!
