Trying to make PIP claim

Trying to make a claim for pip, made the phone call to start and had to give NI number six times!!! Kept being told NI number didn't match my name, finally moved on when I pointed out that I was reading NI number from P60! Wow, I can see this process is going to be painful!! Why do they need to take bank details before they even send the form, felt very much like I was asking for a handout from the not very nice DWP worker!

Hi @hackport welcome to the community.
That's not a great start to your claim is it?! There is a great guide from CAB about filling in PIP forms here.Scope

DWP also ask for the details you refer to when they already have them on file as the person concerned has been receiving DLA.

Well, it's now June! First contact with DWP on Feb Ist, completed hideous PIP application and still waiting, apparently need to have assessment with local "inspection" centre but no chance of a date for appointment yet, DWP say there is no SLA on time! Are they hoping that we will all pop off while we wait?
here I am, waiting........
