Hi everyone, just joined today. I have an 11year old who has recently received the diagnosis of adhd and odd. Can often be socially awkward with those who don't understand, and not a lot of support groups in our Area. Looking forward to chatting with you.

Hi @Raichb welcome to the community!
Are you and your son getting much support from school, doctors or CAMHS? I think you are right that it can be socially awkward when people don't understand but awareness does seem to be growing more and more.
We have a Parents and Carers category here with lots of people in similar situations to you, it might also be worth taking a look at MeetUp where you can search for groups near you by category.
There is lots of info here about ADHD and support from YoungMinds.
We have lots of friendly members here so I hope you will jump in, get involved and feel supported.

Hi there, how is it going with school?
I'm not in your position but just wanted to show my support. Also I'm a teacher so am hoping school is giving you great support.1
