Sick/fit notes for esa

Hi I am in the support group on ESA & have been for the last 18mths, do I still have to send in sick notes, I get them every 6mths of my Dr. I have chronic IBS & diverticulitis & I also suffer with mild agrophobia. Can you help with info please.

If you have been assessed as Support Group then you no longer need to send in sick notes, as the DWP go off their own assessment.
-One less thing for you to do!

I agree with the benefits advisor if you are only getting ESA and are no longer employed you no longer need sick notes.
If you are still employed and your company are still giving you sick pay you still need a sick note. In my case my GP would sign me of for six months, this is the longest time you can have a sick note issued for.0
