I sincerely hope my request doesn't come over as insensitive as that's the last thing I want. I am directing A Day In The Death Of Joe Egg in Titchfield in November. One of the characters, a young girl, has severe cerebral palsy. I am trying to locate and borrow one of those awful collecting statues that used to adorn our street in the 60s & 70s (from when I remember them anyway.) It will be used to remind the audience how differently disability was seen in 'those days'. The play is set in the 70s. I would also like to actually collect money in it and give it to Scope. Any help would be gratefully received and four free tickets will be offered to the lender.
